Welcome to Happy Acres Hall

Happy Acres Hall is a historic dance hall and events facility located on Route 16 in Alton, Maine.

We are open seasonally for live bands and dancing. Please check our schedule for upcoming events. We are also available to rent for your special occasions.

Happy Acres Hall first opened as The New Moon Pavilion on July 4, 1953. Throughout most of its 60-year history the Hall has hosted live bands and dancing, and the Happy Acres stage has featured the greatest performers of the Central Maine region.

Happy Acres is a traditional Maine "Bottle Club". Adults age 21 and over are welcome to BYOB to our Saturday night dances. Happy Acres is a family-friendly environment. We welcome minors who are accompanied by their parent or guardian.

A highlight of the Hall is its original 60' by 120' original maple hardwood floor. Happy Acres is also famous for its ceiling, which is decorated with over 650 stenciled tiles. These tiles tell the story of the many people who have enjoyed Happy Acres over the years. View the ceiling tile gallery here.
